Scatterlings Early Learning
Scatterlings is a dynamic player in the South African Early Childhood development sector, providing early learning for South Africa’s children, thereby addressing one of South Africa’s most urgent needs – the development of young children. Scatterlings offers holistic and practical owner, teacher and staff training to enrich their delivery of quality early learning development for children in their care.
Scatterlings works in the community and assists women to establish Scatterlings Day Care Centres within South Africa by means of a combination of sponsorships and donations. Scatterlings will also provide existing centres with the Scatterlings Programme and curriculum as well as the necessary training to run effective and enhanced Day Care Centres. This undoubtedly contributes to the enhancement of centres throughout various communities.
Scatterlings Mission
• To expand and improve Early Childhood Education and associated facilities for all children, especially the most vulnerable and disadvantaged children in under serviced locations and communities;
• Increase the number of children beginning and completing primary school;
• Provide parents and care givers with access to parenting, education and adult learning;
• Promote gender parity;
• Improve the quality of the overall Early Childhood education system;
• Provide daily curriculum’s with support materials and teacher training materials
• Provide employment opportunities to historically disadvantaged individuals in well equipped and professionally supported Early Childhood Centres.
• Provide enterprise development opportunities for historically disadvantaged women by facilitating and supporting the opening and operating of Scatterlings Crèches
• Offer professional working parents peace of mind and convenience for safe and effective care of their children whilst at work

There are many ways in which individuals and companies can assist Scatterlings in opening and maintaining Day care centres across the country
1. Funding a School
Funding a school can cost between R100 000 to R300 000 (a school accommodating 150 babies and children). Some schools have to be totally refurbished to meet health and safety regulations, ECD regulations and various other governmental organisations. The costs to upgrade an existing school that has the right equipment, sufficient space and all services in place can be achieved for as little as R80 000.
2. Sponsor a child
You can assist by sponsoring the school fees for a child to ensure that attendance is consistent through the year.
School fees – 1 week R90.00. School fees – 1 month R350.00. School fees – 1 year R4200.00
3. Sponsor food for a school
Any form of sponsorship for food items is appreciated. Our children receive four meals a day.
4. Donations of miscellaneous items.

Any form of sponsorship is greatly appreciated by all at Scatterlings. We also accommodate learners in high school who need to fulfil their community service criteria.
