Toad in the Hole

Sent to Kids News by Vinessa Broskie, Edenvale, She says "My son Callan 6yrs loves this breakfast meal". It really is a winner, especially if you use a star or heart cookie cutter - making them feel very special at the same time!

 

Ingredients

1 x slice bread
1 x egg
Cookie Cutter - any shape (big enough to fit an egg yolk)
butter for frying

Method

Take one slice bread,  use a cookie cutter and cut out a shape in the centre of the bread,  melt butter and place bread in pan,  crack open egg and place in hole of bread - fry on both sides. 
Toast the cut out piece of bread and serve as a dipper if your child likes runny yellow eggs.
