Youth Theatre Auditions - Rising Star Academy are holding open auditions for all 10-18 year olds to perform in the international smash hit musical "HONK! Jnr". Honk! Jnr is set in the countryside and features Ugly, a duckling who is rejected by everyone but his mother, soon after Ugly is born, he is seduced away by a wily Cat who wants to eat Ugly for dinner. Director Gillian Brunings indicated that the production has a strong message to kids and parents regarding bullying and accepting people’s differences. “Being different can be hard,” said Gillian “this show helps kids and parents see that differences can be beautiful and no matter what “someone out there loves ya warts and all” to quote a line from the show.”
